Hard to believe it’s been 30 years since the Tool demo first appeared. Back in 1991 there used to be a couple of boxes of the cassettes on the makeshift bar and antique Pepsi machine at the loft where members of the band would hand them out to pretty much any one that wanted one. Though the number of how many were manufactured varies with those trying to sell their treasured copy on e-Bay, I have been told that the actual number was 500. However, the number might be somewhat higher as memories can play tricks after 30 years. Either way, it’s a damn nice collector’s item.
