The world lost another musical giant yesterday with the passing of JOHN WETTON due to cancer. . The singer and bass guitarist was known mostly for his work with KING CRIMSON, URIAH HEEP, ROXY MUSIC and ASIA, although my (BMB)
personal favorite was the prog-rock supergroup U.K., whose other members included Eddie Jobson, Allan Holdsworth and Bill Bruford (before he was replaced by drummer Terry Bozzio). I know that Danny was a big fan of John Wetton’s musical abilities (especially his work in U.K. and King Crimson), so maybe we’ll get a brief statement from him soon.
